Natural Fieldstone Wall
This was a special project that was commissioned to us by a close friend of a close friend, and was too intriguing to pass up, even though it was out of our typical service area. It involved an off the grid house that had been built by the owner over many years, out in the wilds of West Marin county, close to the Luke Skywalker Ranch. The client had imported a special Pennsylvania Field Stone all the way from the East Coast, and wanted someone with a very specific eye to create this meandering rock wall to butte up against the steep hillside. John as a New Englander was experienced with this kind of project, so was up to the task. We used this as a mini vacation to be out in nature while doing some of what we love best…dry stack stone wall building!
